There are many ways to make a contribution to Phi Delta Theta. Below are two causes that we hope you will support:
New York Zeta Fund
In 2006, the New York Zeta Fund was established as a donor-advised fund within the Phi Delta Theta Foundation, thus ensuring a lasting legacy of New York Zeta and Phi Delta Theta upon the Colgate University campus and in the Hamilton community. The New York Zeta Fund provides scholarship awards to members of the chapter and provides funding for certain educational programs. Financial need-based funding is available through the Winnie MacKay and Victor Krivitski scholarship awards to assist brothers with the cost of their fraternity membership fees. In addition, the New York Fund provides merit scholarships and awards that promote the ideals of strong leadership and high scholastic achievement, and ensures that members of the chapter who exhibit these qualities and provide outstanding leadership to the chapter, campus and community will be rewarded every year.
The New York Zeta Fund is the largest chapter fund within the Phi Delta Theta Foundation, which is 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Since inception, the New York Fund has disbursed more than $200,000 to benefit undergraduate Phis at Colgate University. Colgate University
In 2005, Colgate University established a Phi Delta Theta Endowed Scholarship as part of the agreement to acquire the chapter house. This scholarship is awarded annually to an undergraduate member of Phi Delta Theta who is eligible for financial aid; this award becomes part of his overall Colgate financial aid package for that year. The scholarship is administered by the Colgate Financial Aid Office who selects the recipient each year and notifies the fraternity. Note that all gifts to Colgate University that are designated to the Phi Delta Theta Endowed Scholarship Fund will count towards your overall Colgate giving totals and membership in the applicable giving societies.
